Here’s what we use to get the photos and videos on Souvenirist.
We shoot all of our videos on a Mino Flip HD. What a great little camera. It’s compact, records up to 60 minutes of video, and plays nice with our computer.
We use Final Cut to edit our videos on our MacBook. It’s a steep learning curve, but a flexible and fun program to work with.
Our photos are taken with a Canon 1D Mark III. Although we have several lenses, our favorite is a EF 50mm F1.2L USM lens.
What’s next? Well, we want to upgrade to the latest version of Final Cut and find a flash-card HD video camera with image stabilization. The 1D is an excellent camera, but we need something lighter that can maybe handle video.
